Great take out! The family who runs this is very nice. The beef with broccoli is my sons favorite. My niece loves the egg drop soup and gets it whenever she comes to Cranberry to visit. The hot and sour soup is fantastic. The General Tsos is wonderful. There is no seating, just a couple of folding type chairs by the door to wait for waiting. Fancy it is not. The prices are reasonable. For Cranberry Pennsylvania, this is as good as the Chinese food gets. .

China Garden is on Freedom Road -- the western part of 228 which crosses R19 and I79 -- about 1.5 miles outside of Cranberry. I have been going to this place for 5 or more years. A small, unassuming, little take out place. Husband and wife owned and run (husband is chef/cook). The proportions are ample; General Tso's Chicken excellent. What makes this place into a destination spot is that it is not a chain store, the folk know Chinese cooking well, and they provide absolutely excellent customer service. One can call an order in (without doing a financial transaction), arrive and pick it up or wait in a small, cozy space. There are maybe now 2 chairs. Reasonable prices. If you go, make sure you ask about their son, the neurosurgeon in California. They are very proud of him.

I would recommend this place to everybody! It's takeout only, but the family who runs it is amazing! Their fried rice is so great and every meal my family or I have gotten has been superb!

We tried this place because of the great reviews, especially the General Tso Chicken. I also love hot n sour soup, it's how I rate all my chinese restaurants. Well all I can say is that the other reviews must have been done by family members or someone who had a vested interest in the restaurant. Well to start off, when I poured the hot n sour soup from the take home container into my bowl and ti more or less oozed out. It was as thick as 20,000 mile motor oil. Someone must have emptied a whole box of food starch in the soup. The General Tso Chicken was in a think, black, overly sweet sauce. And all that was in there was chicken. It was atrocious. Such a shame because there are so many other really good other restaurants in the area.

Resturant quality food at a take out only resturant. Everything is prepared fresh. Great couple run it also.

I guess I should have ordered the chicken egg-foo young without mushrooms or water chestnuts, I didn't realize it came with all of that crap! Was unpleasantly surprised. The rice wasn't good at all, and the eggrolls were cold! My huband liked his genera tso's chicken though.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Got a lunch special for 6.95. Pretty good the only thing is the chicken pieces are huge! But great taste.

Horrible food. Mostly burnt or drowning in brown-gravy like sauce (even for shrimp with snow peas)!

Great food! Woman running the counter was super friendly, and you can see through to the kitchen and it was very clean. Will be back!

So happy I checked the reviews with this place. I have never had better Chinese food! I've had Chinese all over the world and this was my favorite. Granted I've never been to China but still. They don't do the typical American Chinese either. Make sure you ask for sauces you want. Also if you want a fortune cookie you gotta ask and pay for that as well. I don't care for fortune cookies so it's whatever to me. My fiancé loves the food as well. She craves it all the time now. All in all I gave it 5 stars because it's by far the best, good pricing, and the lady who works at the front is really nice. You won't find Chinese like this in the tri-state area.
